Any experience with bronzefill?
August 08, 2014 05:11AM
Hi,

Did anybody use the bronzefill filament form Colorfabb? I have recieved one recently and I am mostly interested in the post-processing part to make the pieces shine like metal. I have used sanding paper (three different grit sizes) but the results are not good. The sanding paper is too abrasive and removes details. Also, the idea is to make the bronze particles shine and not to remove the plastic so I assume we need a softer shining method. I have tried to use different Dremel tips and the most succesful one was the brass polishing tip, however it isn't as shiny as some samples I have seen. Any recommendations?

Thanks....

I had a bit of success with very fine nail files.
On g+ Gina Häußgen shared some remarkable images

She used a polishing cloth with very nice results.

Use valve grinding compound, wet a piece of cloth with it and rubbed the part.
