Supports a pain in the arse to remove and leaving rough surfaces

Is this normal. Basically I print these badges with a raft and supports to save time I print them front to back and less material is used but the raft and supports are a pain in the arse to remove?!

In using RepG with Skeinforge (50) to generate the Gcodes here's a badge with the supports and raft removed...



It's also not printing smooth enough radius's.

Layer height: 0.25
Temp nozzle: 240
Temp bed: 130
Feed: 45mm/s
Travel: 50mm/s
Nozzle: 0.4
Filament: 1.75

Any clue guys
