Premature Completion of Print

Premature Completion of Print

Hi everyone, thanks in advance for looking at my question.

I have a RepRap based 3d printer and have been using it with Slic3r a bit, finally beginning to understand the settings and play with them a bit.

I've really enjoyed playing with it, but for some reason all of my prints appear to finish early, skipping the final 8-10% of the print. I will attach a few pictures to illustrate, all these prints hit 100% and said the job was complete, this happens with or without infill.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this to happen or how I should go about debugging it? Thanks a bunch!

Does the printer just come to a halt, or does it continue moving without extruding filament?

Looking at the first picture, it could look like that yoy are printing PLA and that the hotend is jamming. But that is just a guess.

it comes to a halt and rehomes and says 100% complete

Picture IMG-20140401-00820.jpg looks like an animal or a map of something? Are you saying that that particular one finished and said 100% complete? If so, please post the STL file and G-code file.
I think Ralph has a point as well.

IMG-20140401-00820.jpg was a pug keychain, I might know what the problem with that one was.

Here is an image of a completed pug keychain that said 100% and finished even though it never printed the top layers and you can clearly see the infill rather than a top layer (there is a name written on it in marker)

Here is the STL file for the pug keychain:

And here is the gcode I used for the pug keychain:

Here is the STL used for the skull:

Here is the rotating rings toy STL:

Yes but my question was, did the printer say 100% complete with that picture I mentioned?
Anyway, can you print the attached calibration cube and report what you get?
