Y axis is stopping after few movement...

Hi

I have posted similar problem but still haven't found solution..
I am testing stepper motor with Pronterface.
There is no problem with X and Z axis.
The Y axis is problem that it moves only few steps and then stops.
It does not move any more.
Every time re-plugging the USB and power supply, it moves and stops again.
What makes this kind of problem?
Any help would be very thankful for me.

RAMPS 1.4 and Marlin firmware is used.

Sound like your problem is in the firmware to me, a couple things to check would be what your Y_Max_Length is set to, and also make sure that your y endstop is functioning properly.

Plug the Y axis connector into the X axis and see if it moves ok when commanded (set X to move obviously)

How does the Y Axis feel when you push it back and forth? Should be smooth but regular. If not there's a problem with the motor or the pulley cable is too tight.

If it does feel right, check the grub screw that holds the gear wheel on the Y motor shaft is done up. If not, then the motor is fine (but isn't turning the gear wheel).
