Printing slightly taller than it should

Printing slightly taller than it should

Hi everyone,

this part is a thick idler for a Makergear Prusa and it is 11mm tall, but the printing is coming up with 13.22mm.
Also, the hole is actually a oval instead of a perfect circle.

I thought that the oval effect was caused due to low tension on the X and Y belts, but that doesn't explain the excess height.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Franklin Dattein

Maybe it's simply a step/mm problem on your Z-axis ?

what bravach said. Incorrect steps/mm on Z.

i would also check for step /mm calibration on your x axis and y axis as well since the hole is oval if it supposed to be round

The oval is in the Z-axis which is consistent with a too high steps/mm.
