Eto po yung repstrap q....spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
Hi po!

Good day to all! Interested po ako sa 3D printing. Last year pa po ako nagreresearch about it but it seems konti palang po dito sa atin ang gumagawa neto. Ask ko lang po kung meron po ba tayong local supplier/distributors ng affordable 3D printers? If yes, how much naman po and kamusta naman ang technical support? Ma-meintenance po ba? Nagpa-inquire po kasi ako sa brother ko sa Singapore about sa UP! PLUS and napakamahal po pala! tumataginting na SGD2400+! wala pang consumables like the ABS spool. Yung mga reprap(tama ba?) nyo po dito sa forums DIY nyo po or kit po sila ordered from abroad?
Pasensya na po sa dami ng tanong. I'm interested in the technology pero talagang clueless ako sa 3D printing here in the Philippines.

Any information is very much appreciated.

More power to all!

at siguraduhing kong affordable para sa mga Pilipino.

We have a group kind of now. Me, my neighbor who is mechanical engineer, and Roger. Roger has gone missing in action these last few weeks though.

We are all ready to build some printers. thinking we can knock out one or 2 in a weekend. We can get just about every part needed except the board and steppers within a 10 minute walk from my shop. The rest we can make in my shop on the CNC plasma. We have press brake, MIG welder, stick welder, powder coat, and most every tool needed to build.

what if I host a hacker space conference at my shop weekend after next? I can get several participants from one of my facebook groups. My shop is easily accessable by public transport. Just LRT to Santolan Makati, then the Cogeo FX for 15 minutes. We need a leader though to do the parts list, and sourcing.
Re: 3d Printer for Philippines

I think a parts list, and a list of possible suppliers would be a good first step, i am based in pasig, i have a load if experience with electronics and software, and have been building devices with arduino for some time.

I really want to build a 3d printer but i'm not big on the mechanicals, and i have a lot of problems finding the parts.

A parts list and supplier list would be a big step forward.

Sulit has most of the electronics needed, the rest I can make or source within a 5 minute walk from my shop here.

I really want to get this going.

I have a reprap Printrbot Design (You can change it into Prusa, Mendel, etc. depends to your liking and stability designs) I left with my pamangkin ready to run and use, problem is its too technical for her to use she cant operate and maintain so I decided to sell it to someone who can troubleshoot and operate RepRap 3D Printer. Im selling as-is as a whole package with PLA Filaments included. Everythings running perfect, problem is I am not around for demo and testing. Serious buyers for pickup only in Valenzuela area. No warranty as I bought it from US but guaranteed working as I able to print samples during my vacation stay in the Philippines. This is the real deal for 3D Printing you can txt me to this number 09982112878 (TXT only as I am abroad so txt me your best offer as I can also bid this item). I can email you the videos of this printer running while 3D Printing.

This 3D Printer is assembled first week of January 2013 so all parts, electronics, motors, heaters, etc. are Brand New

No Warranty so I am only selling this to someone who has already a background knowledge about CNC, Automation, Reprap, electronics, programming, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Definitely not for beginners like commercial branded printers to operate.

Here are the specs:

Original Ramps 1.4 with Arduino Mega Rev3 Board
Original J-Head Hotend MK-VB with 0.35 Orifice Nozzle original from hotends.com
5pcs. Stepper Motors Nema 17
12V 30Amps Power Supply
Original Prusa Heat Bed with Glass for 3D Printing surface
Uses 9pcs. LM8UU Bearings for linear motion
2pcs. Aluminum Couplings for heavy duty use
Various colors of PLA 3mm Filaments ready for 3D Printing. PLA Filaments 3mm in colors Gold, Red, Blue, Amber, Cream White, Light Green / Dark Green, Purple, Lilac, Brown, Pink
Ready to Run and use just plug and play (Familiar in Repraps only to operate this), but you need to install software such as Printrun or Pronterface to run this baby loading your GCODE

I can supply parts, filaments kaya lang depends sa dami ng orders because we are considering the shipping costs there. I can bring items personally every uwi ko ng Pinas.

@bjportega

TUMATANGGAP KA PARE NG PRINTING SERVICES? I WANT SOMETHING PRINTED FROM ARCGIS. ITS A TERRAIN MODEL. CAN YOU MAKE IT? THANKS FOR THE REPLY.
Re: 3d Printer for Philippines

We are offering 3D printing services. We will print your CAD designs and 3D models in PLA plastic.

We are currently on a trial / testing / beta phase basis and will accomodate customers on a selective basis. As such, we will set prices based on the type of CAD model you want to print or make (based on volume, density). Since we are on trial, our introductory prices are very reasonable.

Models printed will be shipped (LBC or Xend) based.

To print your model, leave us a private message (PM) here.

Thanks.

Hello everyone! Just got into this 3D printing last year and been reading since then. I have a background with electronics, motors, etc. Graduated ComEng 2007 and that's pretty much the last time I've a soldering iron, since I mainly do labor work for a living. I'm based in the UK and planning to go back home for good this year and hopefully bring with me a kit, as what I've said my electronics skills need some dusting. Will buy a soldering iron next week so I can hack some old printers for motors, switches,LEDs,etc.

That's it for my introduction. Going back on topic, I will list several points:
-How is it turning up for everyone?
-Filament supplies sourcing? Electronic parts?
-We can setup some import business direct from China since that's where most of the kit sellers source their products from.
Re: 3d Printer for Philippines
April 02, 2013 06:07AM
Why not try to make the kits locally . . .it would be more cost efficent that way . .all the raw material is available sa pinas. . .just some means to make it happen . .i know some guys in the local 3d printing scene are starting to build their repraps pinoy style . .contakin mo sila . .they will point you in the right direction . .

Hi Guys,

Three things -
1. Do you guys have FB group/page/events/meetups regarding 3D printing and in general Hacker/Maker's space in Manila/Philippines ?
If there is... I would like to join! if there isn't, maybe there should be (we can organize something if there is enough crowd)
2. I do need 3D printing services, anyone know and can recommend ?
3. I might need some plastics/electronics production services, companies that do mas production (not 3D printing). Anyone know and worked with such companies in the Philippines/Manila?

guri

guri,

1. No FB group yet but that's a good idea. I'll start one in a few sec. so sumunod ka agad ha? tongue sticking out smiley
2. a couple of members, makerph and bjportega, are can do some prints. you might want to send them pm.
3 what kind of plastic services? as for the electronics i believe we have the raw materials and local talents available locally. we just have to do some research. madaming electronic parts sa raon. andun ang alexan. sulit is your friend when it comes to local sourcing.

i just ordered my electronic kit from ebay. the ad says it's from kowloon. turns out its from guandong.

i honestly believe we can manufacture it locally. i just dont have the time to burn.

hope this answer your questions.

1. Well... What is the name of the group smiling smiley
2. Sent message to makerph waiting for contact.
3. I am talking about factories that do plastic casts for low costs mass production. Maybe need also industrial engineers that can do product design services as well.
Re: 3d Printer for Philippines

i blasted a msg to the group so we can connect via fb. we're not fb friends yet so i cant start it without some fb friends from this group. you might want to add me there so we can kick it of.
