Broke the blades on the hot end fan

Hi All,

Can anyone let me know what the hotend fan is, I know it is 40mm square, what is the voltage, 5v, 12v?

I managed to shatter 1/3 of the blades on the fan (don't ask how) and need to replace it. angry smiley

Also a source in the UK if it is not available from somewhere like maplins would also be appreciated

Any Help please

James

The fan should have a label on it, on the side the wires go into it. Otherwise see where it connects to and use a multimeter. Not all printers are the same for the fan voltage, for two of mine it's 24vdc, the other is 12vdc.

I believe it is 19V on the Huxley. Available here [reprapltd.com].

Disclosure: I design Duet electronics and work on RepRapFirmware, [duet3d.com].

Thanks both,

I managed to get the fan off ok and it is indeed a 19v one so thanks for the link DC42.

James.
