Extruder for my mill strap design. Most of the extruder construction is complete, but have not "fired" it up (probably should not say fire). Plan is to attach to my Taig CNC mill as the XYZ mover. Lots of the the extruder stolen from mini extruder design. Definitely not reprapish in that it is all metal. Somewhat unique feature is that (can't see it in these pictures) is that the brass nozzle is insulated from the stainless steel "feed" tube with an Rulon LR insultator and the nozzle is insulated from the supporting structure with a Rulon LR bushing. The support structure is stainless steel/stainless steel standoffs. The liner is PFTE tubing. Designed for 1.8 mm filament. The heater is a cartridge12V type in the heater block (aluminum). Plan is to insulate the heater block with ceramic fiber "felt" insulation. The filament is pressed against the grooved drive axle by means of a bearing roller wheel on a pivot arm that is spring loaded.
