I realize you like to use the most complicated design possible just because it is!
Would the sarrus mechanism be driven by a not linear cardioid drive just for fun?

What's wrong with a linear lift with lead screw?

I have read this thread a few weeks ago and noticed the animation in the same post you linked me to. I never knew about the Sarrus linkage and when I stubmled on it somewhere on the internet I remmembered seing it in this forums. I thought that after so many years we're still falling back to that solution sometimes, at least conceptually. That's why I thought it was funny.
