Is this PSU inought?
June 26, 2017 11:07AM
So, for like a year, I was storing parts for my 3ds printer. I found this old ATX PSU (attachment) from grandpas old PC and I would like to ask you, if the PSU is powerful enough to run basic delta 3d printer (Something like kossel) and if the CPU power cables (attachment) can deliver what it needs or do I need to wire it differently.
Thank you very much for any response.

That PSU should be OK for a Mini Kossel or for any printer without a heated bed. However, the maximum 12V current rating is only 19A, which may be too low for anything larger with a bed heater. If you are building a larger Kossel with a low-voltage bed heater, or a Kossel with 0.9deg motors, then you should use 24V power instead of 12V anyway.

But it should be powerful enough right (even for 12v bed)? And the way how is it wired, is it ok? I have 4 motors (attachment), are they ok for that?
BTW thank you for your response

It would be powerful enough for a small 12V bed heater, for example a Mini Kossel bed which is typically about 160mm diameter.
