KOSSEL mini G28 issue
October 15, 2016 10:56AM
Hi!
I am looking for some help about my printer. I got a KOSSEL Mini from builda3dprinter . eu, it took a while to build it and today I tried to start it.
I checked twice the power requirements, i measured the voltage on the RAMPS board and doublechecked the cables. I installed ARDUINO 1.0.6, got the latest firmware from the printer manufacturer and the latest printrun. I also checked the endstops with M119, they work and they are in the state they are supposed to.

However when I try homing procedure with G28, nothing happens, no motor humming either.

I thought the problem was about power, so i turned the heated bed on, the board sends power to the bed.

What check can I do to see if there is wrong with the motors? or the boards?

Thanks a lot

Are you getting any min temp errors? those would stop the motors right away.
-individually testing the motors on each driver might get you some insight.
-Is the extruder working and the axis motors not?

and always turn the power of before unplugging the motors, to protect your drivers.

No temp errors, i get no errors of any kind.
How can I test the motors individually? If i try G92 with any value I get no movement
the extruder motor does not move because I didn't turn the extruder heater on.

I tried to test the motors with the RAMPS test code I found on the forum, but the motors don't run. The LED blinks though.

Do u know by chance how to test a motor one by one? Should I try with another RAMPS board? Maybe mine is defective...
