Besides Pronterface what is there?
August 14, 2014 07:12PM
I run pronterface for my delta. Its been working fine for now. Have the custom buttons setup so I can adjust the printer or tweak the firmware.

However I have been looking at Repetier host as well. I run marlin firmware.

Any input on a host software that could be touch friendly? I have recently setup wireless USB and pronterface works well with it. Havent tried repetier just yet to form a proper opinion. No test drives. I usually print from SD card anyway, however I would love to have the ability to upload my gcode to SD card from a gui, and at least have customisable front end so I can make the buttons larger for touch friendliness. Yes I have a windows 8.1 tablet that I picked up. I love the thing. No android in this case, although I would be interested in an android version as well, as I have the same tablet in android also. venue8/venue8pro

I use repetier and love it. I had pronterface for a time, but it started messing up/not working on my mac. One that I would check out is Octoprint. I might use it if I go wireless.

octoprint is not just raspberrypi. There is a PC, Linux, and a Mac version as well.

I print almost exclusively from SD. I use Cura to slice. The new version of RH can use the Cura engine though so I might have a play with that.
