Okay, I'll keep a Z axis that fulfills the reqs. I want to use a foldable arm that folds into a bullet-shaped tube, and unfolds. Servo controlled, worm gears locking it to prevent transfer of energy. Magnetic Encoders. A triple extruder: ABS, PLA, 3mm soder.

Sounds challenging! I look forward to seeing the pics and specs. I must admit, I would like to build a polar reprap just to watch the unique motion!

"Servo controlled" does not sound like the force or precision required for a tripple extruder.
I´m looking forward to your design.
Why didn´t you use the "lets design sth."-board as you seem to not have anything yet?
(At least you gave no link to any project website, requirements-document or similar.)
