Print these heads?

Print these heads?

I need some heads printed.

These aren't the heads I want printed, but they're similar models. I just wanted to know if these could be printed or if I need to modify them somehow? If so could I have a price quote for approximately 4 heads?

I would want the heads to be approximately 2 x 2 inches. Hollow, not filled.

2 models attached in .stl form.

Thanks in advance!

The .stl needs to be a solid object to print, not just a surface.

Do they need to be hollow, or just you want to minimize the cost?

Well I was trying to make a bobblehead. How would you suggest I go about doing this? I guess they could be solid and I could carve out the negative space needed.

Making them solid and carving out is the right approach I think. That way you can also build in some way of mounting the spring, too.

If you can, try to avoid the unconnected triangles like shown here.

Can be fixed by software anyway, but will probably not end up being what you'd like.

Yes I was just wondering if that object was solid and could be printed out? Or does it need to edit them further? It is not the object I want printed I am just seeing what I have to do to get them in the proper format.

All help is appreciated, you guys are great, thanks!

Probably printable like that, yes.
For a reprap , maybe a last edition to make sure the underneath is absolutely flat.

Otherwise try a powder sintering process (like shapeways.com) as it doesn't need support at all.

Hi there,

I found a post you made on RepRap.org for some prototyping and small production runs. Did you still need help with that? M Industrial
Design has the capabilities to do that for you. Let me know.
