[USA] FFF Printing, Lost PLA Casting, and Mold Making

Hello,
We are Printed Solid, located in Newark, DE.

We offer technical design services and 3D printing service (FFF up to 50 micron).

Recently, we've started to focus on '3D printing metal' using the lost PLA process and are pretty excited about it. Simply, we 3D print your part, prepare the surface, and investment cast it. You can see more details of the process here.

Yes, we used a yoda head as our demo. For some reason, customers aren't too eager to have their prototypes broadcast on our blog spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

The prints on that blog entry are all in silicon bronze, but we are willing to try just about any air castable metal below about 1300C. Our favorite of the moment is German Silver, a bronze alloy that looks like white gold.

Prices start at $3 per CC with a $10 setup fee per alloy.

Discounts apply for any of the following
-you provide the PLA printed part finished to your specifications (oversize by about 1.5%)
-you're willing to allow us to feature your part on our blog/site
-parts that are mostly filled vs thin shells

Extra setup charges may apply for particularly difficult gating designs. I.e. we probably don't even want to talk about some of the voronoi designs out there!
