So, I took apart this Stratasys printer... looks like custom steppers

I think they had custom steppers and I thought I'd ask here.

Here is the thread: [forums.reprap.org]

There are two different kinds of steppers used and I cannot get an exact datasheet. I emailed their support group, but I also wanted to throw it to you guys.

Here are the two kinds:

Lin Engineering: 5718M-24P-03RO

Applied Motion: MN23-700-002

Any help would be appreciated... smiling smiley

Lin Engineering: 5718M-24P-03RO

57 = NEMA 23
18 = 1.8 degree steps (200/rev)
M = 2.22" motor body height
24 = Winding code
P = coils are wound parallel, single ended shaft
03 = Special configuration code (could be different length wires, a particular connector...anything really)
RO = RoHS certification

Doesn't mean a whole lot spec wise, but all the other 5718M motors are 173oz-in motors, regardless of winding code. You could always email techsupport@linengineering.com and ask. I found a post in their forums that says to do just that if you need specs for a motor that isn't a standard winding or configuration.
