Servo motor controller???
September 26, 2014 03:54AM
Hi, i need some help about controlling a servo motor, which i'll use on my motorbike.
The thing is i need a circuit that will controll the servo with one switch to 90degrees.
And when you switch off, it should go back go 0 degrees.

Now i know that there some servo motor testers that can be used for this purpose,
But as far as i can see they all have potentiometers on them to controll the servo..
I need a switch for this.
Off = 0 degrees
On = 90 degrees

Thanks,

What are you looking to control with the servo? Maybe it's something innocent and safe, but I can't imagine a lot of uses on a motorbike where the safety of the rider wouldn't be a factor. Reliability, safety, redundancy of whatever solution would be very important I'd imagine.

On a conceptual level, almost any microcontroller that will do PWM and has a button for an input could be a simple controller. Depending on your needs though, just a simple 90-degree rotary actuator would be simpler and safer to implement.
