I had to laugh seeing "So, I took apart this printer ... " as im sat surrounded by parts and a bit out of my depth. I tore down 2 printers i got given for free, one inkjet the other laser. Anyway i've gotten the motors out sans driver ICs unfortunatley, they were built into baffling boards.
The main stepper from the laser printer looks pretty hefty but is attached to a pcb i can't get my head around, i've attached a picture, it has 10 wires coming out (and a very helpful list of which is which) and i was hoping for a bit of input on how to run this from an arduino, do i need an additional driver board? if so which?
Nidec Stepper
There is also a 4 wire shinano EM-440 motor i got from the inkjet which im assuming will be easier to drive from a standard 0-30v board and a bit of trial an error but if anyone has data sheets for either parts it would be greatly appreciated.
Shinano em-440
thanks in advance

p.s i was going to post the model numbers but i had no idea which were lot/part/model/serial set figured pictures would suffice.
