Help with stepper setup

New here and started a project and my electronic guy left me hanging.
I have 2 MODEL PK268-02A Stepper motors and 2 MODEL CSD2120-T drive boards. I am needing them to run in sync and control them manualy. Switching direction and then using a momentary switch to control speed such as a foot pedal.HELP.
Believe I may have figured out but since my buddy bailed Im on my own. Hope you guys can point me in a direction
