Rapman 3.1 MCP Ltd motors datasheets

I am changing a RapMan 3.1 electronics for a Gen7 with DRV8825 Pololu stepper drivers. But I couldn't find the datasheets for the motors, which are Motion Control Products Ltd motors, in their website (seems to be old motors, old references). Didn't answer my question by mail, no more than BfB…

So, would someone have the datasheets for these motors? The more important for me is the 1st one:

M57STH51-3008DC (Nema 23, X Y Z)
M42STH47-1684SG (Nema 17, extruder)

Many thanks! Without datasheets I presume I'll adjust Pololus without measuring voltage…

I never did find the datasheet for those motors, even when current. Closest I found was M57STH51-3006D which made me wonder if 3008 was a typo. On mine the number is printed by dot matrix, not very readable but it looks like an 8.

Anyway, I have been running them with Pololus for some time so they should be no trouble with DRV8825 I think.

Not a typo with my motors, really 3008… the 4th digit means the number of wires, should be 8 but only 4 with this motor… I opened it, no wires cutted or coils shunted… an old nomenclature? I think as you that Pololus will be OK, but it's never bad to know the characteristics of the motors…

You never know when they may have done a "special" for a large customer. Often these parts get an odd part number that does not make sense on the standard chart. To me that's not a good idea. To them it saves a digit on the label.

That's the better way anyways, because it also takes into account how much torque your printer actually needs. Raise current until it works without step losses, add some safety margin, done.

Yes Markus, I've seen that in your Gen7 1.4 web page, easier too than measuring voltage…

I'm rebuilding the electronics of my Rapman 3.1 as well and identified the stepper motors as these:

M57STH51-3008DC (Nema 23, X Y Z)

M42STH47-1684SG (Nema 17, extruder):
