I can't get my ATX power supply to work

I got myself a new psu to use with my heatbed. It can power the electronics but when I try to use a stepper motor or a heat element it turns off immediately. The only thing I've done so far is to connect the green wire to ground. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

You need to put a dummy load on at least the main 5V output of the PSU and perhaps the 3.3V rail as well. Otherwise the voltage on those rails will rise when you load the 12V rail, and the over-voltage circuit in the PSU will trip. See [reprap.org].

Ok, after trying lots of different things I accidently found a solution. I had to connect 3.3VS to +3.3V. That's it. Maybe this helps someone...
