Skeinforge not extruding confused smiley
August 03, 2012 11:38AM
I've recently got my printer (prusa v1) up and running and was happily printing using Slic3r, but I've been having issues getting hole to come out the right size so wanted to try skeinforge to see if it improved matters.

Currently I can get skeinforge to produce some Gcode but when I try to print the hot end moves around happily and the extruder turns, but not enough to actually extrude any plastic, then it retracts and so on.

I have a feeling that it might be retracting and priming but not actually extruding, then retracting again at the next point in the Gcode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: Still confused but i checked the Gcode and the extrusion amounts is pitiful. below is the starting Gcode for my test piece:

Worked it out, Had the extruder calculated off Relative Extrusion Distance, not Absolute spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

or send M83 at the start of the file:
M83 - Set E codes relative while in Absolute Coordinates (G90) mode
