I'd like to announce a
new machine design I'm working on. Based on
the ideas of Jonathan Ward, and his MTM Snap CNC, the
Snapdragon is a fully printable cube with the same size build platform as Mendel. The majority of the frame snaps together, and requires only a handful of M4 screws and nuts.
I'm going to try and get all of the parts designed and posted in the next two weeks. After that, I'll be asking for volunteers to help with testing, re-implementing the design in OpenScad, and I'll need someone to work up a compact extruder design (Cough!!!GregCough!!!Frost).
If you want to have a look at what's available so far,
I've posted some of the parts on Thingiverse. At the moment, I'm using TV as a convenient place to get access to the parts.
I'll start posting them up on the wiki once I fugure out the whole development template thing.
