Reprap Prusa i3 from China not connecting to mac

I got my printer set up and printing with the SD card, I've downloaded repetier-host and arduino. I plug the printer in using USB but cannot get mac with el captain to show any printer connected I installed the driver that came with the SDcard. This has been a two day issue for me to figure out still nothing. This is my first build and I'm new to the communication aspect. Please help

Most Arduino board clones have the CH340 drivers. You can follow this website [blog.sengotta.net] to get the driver in the first post. I have a Mac, and that got it to connect. I can move the motors and turn on the heatbed. But I can't turn on the hot end for some reason. I'm ok with that as I have a Windows 10 virtual machine that I use to run manual gcode commands such as PID autotune.I use my Mac repetier for leveling the bed.
