does anyone know if there are any z motor mounts for the mendelmax that would sit inside the frame?

That would reduce the X axis print size dramatically, unless you made the entire base bigger.

And no I've not seen any, but I havent looked being happy with the X printing size as it is

yeah i know.. i already compensated for the space that the mounts would occupy
