lose connections on stepper motors

hey everyone!

So I've had my printer now for about 2 or 3 months and I have had issues with the steppers since I've had it. My issues with the stepper is that during prints it seams that a random stepper would decide to stop working and of course this would mess up the print. I've noticed that if I move the harness (mainly on the stepper side) the motors seem to come back on. I've put hot glue on the back of the connectors to se if that would help to keep the wire from moving during prints, and also used zip ties to help keep the harness from moving. Can some one please chime in with some ideas. I've searched all over but can't seem seam to find and good info on this topic. I've considered buying better steppers because i'm sure that the one that came with the printer are just some cheap steppers.

Hi,

A picture of a fail print can help to understand what's wrong.

Cheap kits are made cheap, obvioulsy.

It's probably a connection problem. Check again connexions.
A wire is mabe cutted somewhere.
Even if Dupont connectors are mostly the encountered issues,
it's maybe not only about connectors.
If you glued the connectors, maybe you fixed the problem in place,
if any wire is not crimped in properly...

Check board's soldering too.

Last, check if motors/drivers don't get too hot,
and check the driver's output power.
Low powering can introcule loose steps.
It's wise to install a fan over the board for long prints.
