Have you loaded the firmware onto it yet?

When you connected up, did you set the baud rate correctly to 115200 and loaded in the drivers as per the instructions?
You also have to see what COM Port the USB has been assigned and put that into the software?

Looks like a FolgerTech Prusa i3...just like mine smiling smiley

You'll need to install Marlin on your Arduino, then set it up to match your printer. Let me know how I can help!

Okay. So, you have your printer built, and the end stops installed, right?

Where are they located?

(I will modify my Marlin configuration for yours!)

Have you downloaded the Arduino IDE yet? If not, please do so now, by clicking HERE and selecting your operating system. Once installed, I can walk you through connecting to your Arduino, then I'll send you the pre-configured Marlin to control the RAMPS board...

If you haven't downloaded Marlin yet, please click HERE and do so now. You can unzip it anywhere, but I suggest saving somewhere you'll remember because you will be opening it a bunch...

this is my board, for some reason we are not getting any movement in the servos.

try m114 to check endstops status its S + - on the foto looks like you pluged + - S in (just from the collors)

and power out is ext fan bed (for motheboard 33) so you have plugt in a fan and a bed
Re: Prusa I3 Help

i have to do something in my Gcode because my fan is wired somewhere else, i think its 33, it says my Y axis MIN is triggered, and when i touch any of my end stops it kill the board, and i have to replug it in so i can get it to work again but im still getting nothing out of my Servos, what do you mean by S + - vs + - S? is S = to a Remote wire? are boards at least right?
Re: Prusa I3 Help
January 16, 2015 01:27PM
The photos show your endstops are plugged into the RAMPS board backwards. The red wire needs to be towards the RAMPS reset button. When installed backwards, as yours are, the end stops are connecting the 5 volt bus to ground, shorting it and momentarily killing the Aruduino 5 volts. Simply remove the endstop plugs from the RAMPS and reinstall them with the green wire closest to the edge of the RAMPS board and the red wire closest to the reset button.

Hopefully, this will get you going. Looks like most everything else was working okay yesterday smiling smiley
