Problem with the filament on my Prusa i3

I have a serious problem with my prusa i3. The filament gets stuck on the first or second layer. I can't print anything.
Could a cooler on header fix the problem? Where I can find the config menu on pronterface?

I hope you can help me, guys. Thanks

Where are you purchasing your filament from, and how sure are you of its quality? could be really poor grade material causing it to jam. Is this a recent issue or have you always dealt with this?

Actually I could print in a good quality just the first time. Then the printing results were a mess (the filament gets cut or it gets stuck in the nozzle). I have read that printer would need a cooler in order to cool the extruder but I really don't know anything about this.

If you post a picture of your extruder we can give more specific advice. It's difficult to diagnose without knowing what type of extruder you have.
