Extruder problem

Ok out of the blue my extruder stopped extruding. This is what I have done so far.
Swapped stepper driver board with a known good board. This did not work.
Plugged extruder motor into x axis driver and find the motor works fine.
Plugged known good motor into extruder driver on ramps board and no go. Hmmmm

I have a spare ramps board. Swap the spare ramps board and no changes.
Change E0 to E1 in pins.h and this did not work. But to verify I plugged extruder motor again into x axis driver on ramps and the motor worked. Connected x motor into E1 and no go.
I hope the above makes sense.
In short each individual component works fine. E0 and E1 do not seem to function regardless of what driver or motor are connected. I thought for a moment the Arduino could be the problem but I find that unlikely since I'm seeing this problem on both E0 and E1.
If anyone has an idea I have overlooked as far as shooting this goes please share with me. Or if you have dealt with this your self.

Just read in another part of this forum that swapping x axis and ex0 in pins.h worked for a person experiencing my exact problem. Will attempt tommorow.
