All was well until this....

I've been using my prusa for ages now to get useable (if not stellar accurate) prints without any issues.

Last night the X belt came undone, resulting in a ruined print, and it didn't really phase me as these things happen of course, but since putting that right I've had nothing but problems (ignore the 'good' print in the pic - that's what the part should be like):

Can anyone point me to a likely cause for why the prints have suddenly begun coming out like this? The belts have good (but not excessive) tension, and everything appears to work fine, until part way through a print the layers suddenly become far offset from where they should be.
Is this the sort of thing you get with missed steps?

Even so, if that's a likely cause, why would it begin happening suddenly after working well for a long time?

Appreciate any suggestions guys, thanks!

Don't worry guys - i think I found the cause. Belt tensioner spring on the Y axis was snagging on something, and must have been making the belt skip when it happened. So far so good now....
