Connection issues after firmware update

The issue is that it won't.

Have a legacy mendel from reprappro I finally decided to get round to updating the firmware for. Followed the steps on the reprappro documentation. Uploaded the firmware from the Github fine with no error messages.

Then I try connecting to the printer through pronterface.

Nothing happens for a minute and then æ|| appears, which then repeats every ten or twenty seconds until I turn it off.

After going through the process, a few more times, I try the melzi test. Which works fine, the led blinks just as it should. So I tried uploading again and the same thing happens.

I'm flummoxed, anyone else got any ideas?

After hours of faffing around, changing every detail I could, the printer eventually connected after I changed the com port to 115 rather than the old setting of 250.

Firk, ding and blast.

You mean 115,000?
