Errors in the "Fixed" Solid Model Files

The files "y-bearing-180-outer-right_1off.stl" and "y-bearing-180-outer-left_1off" had open mesh problems that were "fixed" in the SVN, but as can see in the attached images the holes lost their shape when they were "fixed". I've also attached what I believe fix the problem correctly.

I´m tryint to collect all such fixes at the moment
[sourceforge.net]
(Not having much time to do it yet.)

Did you correct the AOI-file the STL came from too?

No, I've never used AOI before, so I just fixed the meshes in Blender. I also found another one. (Attached Below)

I might take a stab at learning AOI this weekend, if I can find some time.

I don't think you can fix the errors in AOI since it made them in the first place.

I got the original parts from the STEP assembly for some of my broken parts, but they are not quite the same as AOI parts, so I have not checked in the STLs.

I also used Netfabb free version to fix some.

I wish I knew a solution to the the problem of having open source 3D model that everybody can edit, but there doesn't seem to be a solution as all the OS modellers are either just mesh editors, or broken, or both.

I agree.
I moved to a commercial package now.
