Hey All,

I decided to build a PRUSA i3
as a novice to both mechanical and electrical > the build went very well. I am also very amped to print.

I am stuck - I'm looking for knowledgeable people to provide a Troubleshooting list I can run through .

ISSUE > My Motors are "shuddering" and making sounds no 3d Printer should make

Too little or too much current ? - i have changed the current on the ramps board both ways - did not resolve the issue.
if you have any ideas, please let me know.

i will recheck the wiring + connectors

thank you

ok so rechecked all the wiring and connectors > all ok
i plugged the y axis motor (the one shuddering and moving in random) into the x axis plug on the ramps board. - > Y axis motor works perfectly.

so could it be the ramps board ? and how can i test / trouble shoot ?

It might not be the whole RAMPS board, but just the motor controller.

MakerFarm 8" Prusa i3v
RAMPS 1.4
0.4mm E3D v6 for 1.75mm
