Build Chamber?
February 07, 2014 09:54AM
Hi! I've been experiencing a fair amount of warping/adhesion issues with printing using ABS. I turned up the temp on the heat bed and the extruder, which helped a lot. But on taller prints, the issues start popping up again--although not as bad as before. I was thinking about adding an acrylic/plexiglass case around the printer (or around most of it) to help keep the heat in and the fluctuating temperature in my apt out. Is there anything I should know or be aware of being doing this? I was going to go to Lowes today and get a couple pieces of acrylic/plexiglass. I can't decide if I should just do 3 sides (around the front) or 4 (including the back) or 5 (including the top.

Thanks!!!

one thing to be aware of is any parts of your printer made of pla wont like it. Also watch motor temperatures and other electronics that are inside the chamber.
