Pronterface not giving viable PORT on Mac OSX 10.6.8

Hi
I just finished my Prusa Mendel build and it's very exciting. We had it running off a (borrowed) Win7 laptop via COM no worries but we've tried to do the same off my old MacBook G4 (circa 2008) running 10.6.8.

The USB port does not appear in the PORT list and I have no idea what the problem is. We have moved it back to the Win7 laptop to test and it worked again.

Has anyone had problems with connecting to Mac where the PORT did not automatically appear? All I have is a list of old bluetooth and modem ports I havent used in years.

Cheers
Dean

Did you install the Arduino/FTDI drivers? If not, you can find them here: [www.ftdichip.com]

Awesome - that was all it took.

Thank you for your help.
