Gel coat vs silicone mold

Can someone help me to understand uses for gel coat vs silicone mold, I know silicon is more flexible and I can use a fiberglass jacket to keep its form. i have a piece that I want to cast but I'm not sure if I want to do it on gel coat with fiberglass or with silicone with a fiberglass jacket, I have experience creating gel coat molds but i'm not sure if silicon mold might be a better choice I'm also concern about silicone mold might not last as long as a gel coat mold.

With polyurethane resin you can use the silicone mold about 30- 35 times

It is not very hard to do. I will post more videos on how to make silicone molds.
Our printers work very well with polyurethane resin pieces.They do not melt like PLA parts do and are much easy to be reproduced then cnc parts.
