Adding a custom G-Code case in firmware Marlin
May 21, 2015 11:29AM
I have been looking through the Marlin firmware and I am trying to create a custom G-Code Case for a command I would like to send to my printer. Example G888 P5 L20 R500 F10 B500 , this would update the autolevel function to allow to probe 5*5 grid at X20 to X500 and y10 to Y500.

Why?

The command already exists and is G29 P5 L20 R500 F10 B500

That was an example and I am wanting to be able to re-level an area without having to home. Right now I am having to home in order to re-run the command. I am wanting to do this and run it along with the print 1 at a time feature for a few reasons, but mainly if for some reason the printer were to skip a few steps going up or down with the z-axis.

Did you ever find out how to make your own custom gcode in the marlin firmware? I tried adding a case for M77 in Marlin_Main to communicate with a device on the I2C, but its not working.
