Filament Change Marlin ver2.2 issue
February 09, 2016 11:29PM
Hi,
I'm using the Marlin firmware ver2.2, particularly using the Filament Change feature. This reads a switch (D44) and if the filament run out (switch is opened) , then the print stops, stores X-Y locations, goes to a home position, and waits for the filament to be changed, then press the LCD button to resume printing.

This is a great feature, except its very unreliable and flakey. The problem is that when the switch is opened the printer after about 6-8 out of filament cycles, seems to ignore the switch entirely, until I completely power down and re-boot the firmware.

Its as if the RAM of the MCU is getting full and can store anything, or getting overrun.

Does anyone know how to fix this or experienced the same issue?

Any help with be appreciated.

Thanks!

Mike
