Duet on a TAZ or other Cartesian printer
January 23, 2016 11:07AM
I'm running Duets and dc42's firmware on all but 1 of my deltas now. I am seriously considering migrating my TAZ 4 printer away from a RAMBo controller and Repetier firmware to Duet. Has/is anyone running a Cartesian printer with Duet and if so, is dc42 still the best firmware? My TAZ has a dual Cyclops hot end and a 3 point FSR bed leveling system.

cheers,
Michael

All of RepRapPro's Ormerod kits used Duet electronics, as well as their most recent versions of the Mendel and Huxley. So there are more Cartesian printers than deltas with Duet electronics. I suggest you ask on the Ormerod forum if you want to know more on this subject. There is also a recent post in the Prusa section of this forum from someone who built a Prusa with a Kraken head, controlled by a Duet+DueX4.

Disclosure: I design Duet electronics and work on RepRapFirmware, [duet3d.com].
