short pause delay with marlin after update
January 05, 2016 04:33AM
Hi everyone ;
after lots of searching and thinking i could find a solution so i try to ask here

after reuploading malin in the arduino this new comportement appear (i use this printer since 2 year without any problem like this one )
here is the probleme

video of the 'problem'

the printing stop for few second (half one to one ) while printing with no real logic (some time 3 or 4 time in a row)
the things is (other than making the print time bigger ... ) that create blob along the printing and i don't understand this new comportement and that's drive me crazy

information about the printer
-marlin 1.0.0 rc2
-ramps1.4 / arduino mega
-printer personnal design (reprap prusa / i3 like )
-[github.com]
-e3d volcano 0.6

this behavior occur while printing from sd cad / via octoprint or pronterface

the probleme as been solved with an update to 1.1.0 rc3

but i want to understand and figure out this history
i'm still asking myself where does that come from ?
any idea ?

thx for your answers

have a good day

J.

It could be because marlin versions before 1.10- RC3 had a display update rate of 100ms which was reduced to 1s in RC3 taking some load out of processor which certainluy could influence a delta printer.

yes that's seems to be one good reason , but before ( older marlin [don't remenber version ] ) i didn't have this problem that's why i don't really understand
