Variable Torque

Variable Torque

I'm currently using a Azteeg X3 with the Marlin firmware, and was wondering if there's a way to control the torque of the motor from software.

Is there any way to do this? Another way of looking at it is that I'd like to set what the maximum PWM duty cycle is (and do so while running, not just hard coded at a certain value).

Any help greatly appreciated,

Just to answer my own question:

This isn't easily possible. The PWM for the motors is performed in hardware on the motor driver. The main board uses a STEP/DIR interface (eg see TI DRV8825) to talk to the motor driver and doesn't offer fine control of the PWM signal sent to the motors. The only way to change the torque is to somehow change the VRef for the driver.
