Hey all.
Last night, i tried hooking up a 16x2 lcd to my Megatronics 1.0 board. The LCD works just fine alltough i will probably replace it with a backlit one later on.
The problem is that i want to use the four push buttons on the lcd-board to navigate through the menus instead of a rotary push encoder.
My first and only real attempt was to take the juicy parts from the ultipanel code in Marlin firmware but i just can't wrap my head around how to connect the buttons to AUX-2 without a shift register that all panels seem to use and then get Marlin to handle them correctly.
I want two buttons to replace right and left (up and down?) of the rotary encoder and one to click into the menus.
Has anyone done anything similar?
