help with Marlin re-configure
September 23, 2014 09:35AM
Hi all. I was hoping someone might be willing to help me re-configure my Marin firmware.
I have a Phoenix 3d printer from EZ3D. It is a pretty good printer, but the software is not so good. I would like to use some of the open source software like Repetier or MatterControl so I can have more control over the slicing process. They said it could be done, but there is something in the firmware that is causing some problems. When I try to print, the printer takes off and wants to go through the roof. Maxes out the Z axis and runs for a few more seconds. Then it appears to start the printing motion while at the max Z
The printer is based on the Mendel/Prusa style. It has 3 mechanical end stops. X is to the right, Y is to the front, closer to the operator, and Z is at bed level. It has a Rambo 1.2 board. The printer limits are 250X215X200. There must be something in the mechanical settings that is making it run crazy.

This is the g-code that their software sends to the printer for homing:
G1 F2800
G1 X400
G1 Y400
G1 Z-400
G92 X144 Y100 Z0
G1 Z200

Maybe someone could look at this section of code and see if they can help.

Can we approach this as if it was a new build?

The attached file is a Marlin build for the EZ3D Phoenix. This build should work with Repetier.

See: " [ez3d.freshdesk.com]" for the printer shape setup.
