Bed Auto Leveling Homing Problem

So I've been running a different version of Marlin than what came with my printer (Makerfarm 8" i3) so that I could use the bed auto leveling features.

I've run into a strange problem: When I run a G28 the X/Y axes will home (sort of), but then instead of moving to the middle of the bed to home the Z axis, the servo arm deploys in the corner of the bed and proceeds to crash since the microswitch is outside the bed.

What I've noticed is that before the Z axis homes, my x axis doesn't home properly. When it homes, it just hits the switch and doesn't move instead of hitting the switch bouncing back and approaching the endstop slowly. The Y axis homes normally. If the X axis homes normally, then everything works great. The print head moves to the middle of the bed and homes normally.

To get my machine to actually print something, I have to reset my printer and try and try again. angry smiley Any ideas?
