Help NEWBIE with errors

Just finished building Reprap Prusa Mendel, connected electronics and uploaded firmware
And there problems started,
I'm using ramps 1.3, Merlin, and Pronterface
When i uploaded merlin file to arduino and checked serial monitor, it shows error:

: Extruder switched off. MAXTEMP triggered !
Errorrinter stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)

Can somebody give advice what and where i need to change, to get it working.

Check to make sure you have your extruder thermister connected correctly. There is no polarity to worry about, but maybe you have it in the wrong port, or perhaps there is a wiring issue.

checked wires with multimeter, and everything was ok,then fined out that one of opto endstops are not working, checked wiring, everything was fine, means hardware was ok.
was checking IDE and found motherboard aren't defined. defined ramps witch corrected endstop prolem.
Max tem was still triggered.changed max and min temperature values and monster came alive.
Still need to reverse z axis endstop, get extruder working, and find out whats happening with heaters...
anyway some progress...
