Trouble with an MK8 extruder

Hi All,
I just terminated my first box i3, and tried to perform the preliminary tests / calibration...
Axis are moving and endstops are working, but I'm faced to the MK8 extruder which doesn't extrude (or really a little bit).
I started with the following tests:
- setting up minimal temp of the nozzle to 0
- removing the nozzle from the extruder
- extrude 50mm (without the nozzle) in order to define steps/mm value; I found a pretty small value : 11
At least, this was sounding pretty good

Remounting the nozzle, and being sure that the filament is properly inserted, I performed the heating of the nozzle to 240° (for ABS), and tried to extrude :
I got a very small piece of plastic (if we can call so sad smiley ), and the filament doesn't seems to go further.
I guess that the nozzle is not blocked, and that I have some missing steps to follow for making this extruder working.

Any ideas ?
Is there specific tips for cleaning the nozzle sad smiley ?

Hi,
I found my issue : I missed to setup the jumper in order to enable microstepping.
Following this topic : http://forums.reprap.org/read.php?219,413347 provides great answers how to compute the extruder steps/mm.
For myself, with 1/32 stepper configuration, I put 189.517
So, if it can help...
