New Design 3d Printer

Hello everyone,

My brother and I have started designing a new 3d printer. Our ideas for this project currently are as follows:

- 300mm by 300mm by 300mm print volume
- 2020 aluminum extrusion frame
- printed corners
- single extruder (dual to come later)
- Y axis moves the X axis, bed moves up and down like H-Bot style.
- NOT core xy
- under $400 budget.

I have a source for printed parts.

Any criticism or support would be appreciated. Just thought I'd get some neutral ideas on my ideas before I go spend the money.

FYI we are both in school so our build time is limited, sadly.

Sounds like a good idea,
I am designing one as well,
it is good IMO, to go that route as it can be adapted for the resin Uv printing that is becoming more popular

What is your design like right now? Is it SLA or FFF style?

My main bug with the SLA machines is build volume.
