I am looking for a shaft bolt for use in a planetary gearbox that will be used in conjunction with Nema 17 Stepper Motor. Something that you can mount a MK7 style 5mm bore drive gear to.

Anyone know of a source for this?

Thanks,

Jubal

If you're talking about a screw that goes through the side of a ring and clamps it to the motor shaft, it is called a grub screw. The part you have will already have threads for a specific size. You'd better check the part specs.

No, not talking about the grub screw, though thanks for the suggestion. My terminology may be a bit strange, but thinking just like the motor shaft, but instead will be the shaft that comes out of the planetary gearbox

Something likes this, but 5mm shaft size:

The easiest alternative I have found so far is to use a 5m threaded bolt, though this is not as good for supporting the mounting of drive gears. Alternatively, I could potentially use 5mm threadless tubing if I track down or make some sort of mounting coupler.
