Hi, I'm using BitsfromBytes parts and following the directions at [reprap.org] to build my extruder--electronic systems are fully operational 
. Step 5 instructs me to place a washer in between the M8 x 80 and the Reaction plate. Does anyone understand the reasoning behind this? It only seems to increase the rotational friction rather than have an actual function..
