I am looking for the lowest cost servo drive for a 3D printer application.
My servo motors are pittman dc brushed servo motors at 24vdc and it will be low load - they have hp differential encoders.
Of course I want to run them with pulse step direction etc (step emulation)
I've looked at geckodrive and cncdrive and they seem a bit overkill on spec and was wondering if there were any lower spec cheaper options out there.
The makerbot servo drive is too expensive to ship and is a very basic drive and not very tweakable without high understanding of servo coding.
I've had a look at UHU servo drive too and it's a contender - but still way over spec needed.
many thanks
